Refrigerated EBM PDF Print E-mail
QUESTION:
I am very surprised to learn that I can only store refrigerated ebm to up to 48 hours. I remember gotten the information from a pre-natal class that I can store refrigerated ebm to up to 7 days.

ANSWER:
48 hours is a very conservative guideline taking into account Singapore's weather. In practice, most women find their milk can keep longer. I have not heard of anyone here storing their milk for 7 days, however. If you really want, you can do a simple experiment with a small amount of milk. You will know when your milk turns bad - the smell is unmistakable.
